Step 1: Meet the Minimum Provisions To qualify for the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream, you must meet the following three minimum requirements:

  1. Obtain a foreign diploma, certificate, or credential with an educational credential equivalency assessment by a recognized Canadian educational certificate.

  2. Accumulate one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid work experience in Canada or internationally within the last ten years.

  3. Attain a minimum language proficiency of CLB 7 in all four language areas (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in either English or French. This proficiency can be demonstrated through language test results from established agencies such as IELTS (General Training Test only), CELPIP (General test only), or TEF.

 

Step 2: Derive Adequate Points Under the Selection Details Upon meeting the minimum requirements, eligible candidates can proceed to determine if they score 67 points or more out of 100 under the selection details for the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream.
